Platform FAQ

Do I need an extra download?

All Moog Software products are designed to work seamlessly across many operating systems.

If you have Microsoft Windows then you can just download a complete install and you needn't download anything extra.
If you have Mac OS X then you will already have a JVM and you can just download the "all platforms" version.
If you have any other operating system (Linux, BSD, Solaris ... ) then you may need to download a Java Virtual Machine.

If you are not sure whether you have a Java Virtual Machine or not then see the next FAQ question.

Do I have a virtual machine?

If you have a Java Virtual Machine you should see a box below with some information about your installed Virtual Machine.

If you see "Virtual machine is OK" then you can download the "All Platforms" version of any Moog Software product.
If you see "Virtual machine is NOT OK" or nothing at all then you need to get an updated Virtual Machine (see the next FAQ question to find out how).

How do I run it?

On Windows, you can just run the included ".exe" files. On all other platforms you will currently need to run the ".sh" files from your desktop or from a terminal.
